Who We Are...

Right now we are the fastest growing online jewellery department store in the UK and Ireland. We stock the most amazing unique designer collections as well as the hottest brands on the high street. We are the UK & Ireland’s single biggest Pandora retailer and we are growing every day.

Our passion is jewellery; we eat, sleep & breathe it. We travel the globe to find the highest quality, most diverse pieces in new and interesting materials. We deal directly with our suppliers to ensure we can bring you the highest quality jewellery for the best possible price. We have been working with many of our suppliers for over 15 years so we know that we are bringing you the best.

Where it all began...

Back in 1997, our founder, Pete Boyle decided to open his first Argento Store. Pete’s passion for high quality jewellery was the main driving force. He had been selling jewellery from a street stall for a few years but he wanted to create a bright and inviting store where people come and shop at their leisure (out of the cold and rain). Now he had the opportunity to expand the collections and showcase them in all their glory. The first store opened on Castle Street and was the first of its kind in Belfast; a modern casual jewellery store that welcomed everyone. The name Argento; Italian for silver, was chosen as the opening stock was handcrafted silver pieces Pete picked up from around the world from Mexico to India to Asia and beyond.

The business went from strength to strength and Pete began to open more stores. The customers loved fine silver but started to ask him for quality fashion jewellery, so off he went in search of some good suppliers of high quality fashion jewellery. Suddenly his passion became a lot more fashion! A few years later, while on a buying trip in Australia Pete discovered and fell in love with Pandora. He soon found out that customers in the UK & Ireland were as obsessed with the product as he was, he opened numerous more stores over the years bringing the grand total today to 27 Argento stores and 9 Pandora stores and the rest, as they say, is history. Pete is still one of the most jewellery obsessive people you will ever meet, whose passion for jewellery is infectious. When it comes to jewellery if he doesn’t know it, it’s not worth knowing!

Pete’s professional expertise in jewellery has been recognised throughout the industry, he appeared in Professional Jeweller’s Hot 100 list in 2011 as a retail star and in 2012 he was a finalist in the Ernst & Young, Entrepreneur of the year awards.
